Olives contain "Oleic acid" fat that is heart healthy, Linolenic acid and Alpha - Linolenic acid( Omega3 fatty acid).Olives are rich  source of Vitamin E.

In Genesis ,Olive tree is first mentioned in 

the Bible,

Genesis 8:11

Then the dove came to him( Noah) in the evening, and behold, a freshly plucked olive leaf was in her mouth; and Noah knew that the waters had receded from the earth.

Psalms 52:8

But I am  like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.

Psalms 128:3

Your wife shall  be  like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table.

Hosea 14:6

His branches shall spread; His beauty shall be like an olive tree, And his fragrance like Lebanon.

Deuteronomy 8:7,8

For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey;

Judges 9:8

“The trees once went forth to anoint a king over them. And they said to the olive tree, ‘Reign over us!’ But the olive tree said to them, ‘Should I cease giving my oil, With which they honor God and men."
